The United States of RNC

The administration has instituted a true propagandocracy. Think of the major policy initiatives that have taken place since they took office: the tax cuts, the war, now Social Security. Each one was sold with a campaign of outright, shameless lies, and in each case your tax money was used to convince you what a great thing it was. As we see in the case of No Child Left Behind, the propagandizing doesn't stop even after the legislation is passed. The White House and their allies in Congress have decided that if they're in charge, than the entire government should become an outpost of the RNC, working for partisan ends.

Notice the SSA spokesman's statement that the agency has a duty "to educate the public about the financial challenges facing Social Security." Bill Frist took this same line on "This Week" yesterday in trying to defend the administration. But they don't have that duty. Their job is to administer the program, not to join one side in a political debate about whether the program should be dismantled.

Truly shameless.

Shameful.

....but hey, do what you want....you will anyway.
